Meet the 2026 Pooleys Ambassadors
Earlier this year we opened applications for the 2026 Pooleys Ambassador Programme and received over 150 applications from pilots, student pilots and aviation enthusiasts across the UK. The standard was remarkable, and today we are delighted to introduce the six people joining the Pooleys Ambassador team.
Harvey Canning is a student helicopter pilot from Gosport, currently training on the Cabri G2. The son of a military aviator, Harvey's passion was cemented by his first flight in a Royal Navy helicopter, and he is now working towards his PPL(H) this year with his sights set on a flying career. He documents every step of the journey on Instagram at @harvs_rotary_life.
Danny Richmond has been gliding since 2014 and flying powered aircraft since 2019, winning his first gliding competition in 2019 with multiple podiums since. He serves in the Army Air Corps as rearcrew on the Wildcat, now in his second year with the display team, and is about to join an RV-6 syndicate. Find him at @b11_danny.
Till Roberts holds a Sailplane Pilot Licence and, at the time it was issued, was the youngest person in the UK to hold a pilot's licence. He also holds a Basic Aerobatics Rating and an FRTOL, and his social media channels have gathered over 10 million views inspiring young people from all backgrounds into aviation. He is working towards a commercial career and shares it all at @tillthe.sky.
Rich Tyler brings 34 years of flying to the team. A CAA flight instructor and FAA CPL/IR holder, he is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, instructs with Aerobility, and was part of the team behind world records for the longest-duration unrefuelled flight and highest-altitude flight by an unmanned aircraft. He is currently working towards his UK CAA Multi-Engine Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot Licence. Follow him at @richtyler on Instagram and @farnborough_flyer on TikTok.
Annabel Cook has been flying for 25 years and has logged time in more than 30 aircraft types, from seaplanes and warbirds to helicopters, gliders and microlights. She recently completed her seaplane rating, is currently training in the R22, has served as Chair of the British Women Pilots' Association and is part of the FLYER presenting team. Find her at @annabelengages and @big_red_plane.
Sigourney Ansah is a student pilot completing her PPL(A) as an HCAP PPL Scholar, the first-ever recipient of the Elevate Her Aviation x British Airways Flying Bursary, and a Department for Transport Aviation Ambassador. Through She Aviates, she documents her journey to inspire women from underrepresented backgrounds into aviation. Follow her at @sheaviatesuk.
From first solos to world records, this year's team reflects the full breadth of general aviation, and we cannot wait to share their stories with you. Over the coming weeks we will be hearing from each of our new Ambassadors in their own words, so watch this space.
Welcome aboard, all six of you.
