The Private Pilot's Little Book of Helicopter Safety 3rd Edition
Pooleys stock code: BTG143
The purpose of this book is to provide the pilot with actual incident/accident statistics and to link them to the preventive safety measures taught during training. It is short and easy to read and is intended to complement, not to replace, the professional texts (see refs). These should be studied before, and on a regular basis after, qualifying as a PPL(H). The data in this book is heavily biased towards Robinson R22 and R44 machines which represent 25% of the rotorcraft flying in the UK. Nevertheless, the information and the conclusions drawn are highly relevant to all helicopter types.
